im looking for one of the ZEDs. if anyone is selling please get ahold of me.
  • Whitegrove
FYI - a new retail only pressing on clear red vinyl will be available from most major retailers by the end of June
  • Jusari
Have to disagree with the other reviewer. The smell is undoubtedly that of strawberries (if perhaps strawberry chewing gum, sure, but definietely more so of strawberries than that synthetic chewing gum smell). But the music itself is fantastic. The score wasn't meant to evoke the sweeping majesty of John Williams or Hans Zimmer, they were simply there to throw us into the clash/ bang/ suspenseful horror that is a zombie apocalypse. The guys themselves say in the liner notes that they worked with unused scores of Romero and Carpenter's - and Director Edgar Wright encourages fans of the soundtrack to use it for their own temp scores (as it does indeed work so well to do)! While the tracks are all very short, they were recorded for, and do fulfil the purpose of the scenes they are used in. Nothing more, nothing less. As far as sound quality goes, I've got nothing to compare it to as the score has never been released before, and has yet to be released in any other format! But the pressing's not bad at all.

Another variant from Mondo. The record is a conversation object - that sweet chewing gum smell! But the music is pretty uninteresting and the sound quality is poor.
  • Vonalij
